The Role We are seeking a top-tier, highly motivated Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to accelerate the delivery of the CarsXE platform and elevate our engineering standards. CarsXE is disrupting how the automotive industry accesses and uses vehicle data. You will be the force multiplier responsible for unlocking the potential of our current engineering team, defining our data architecture, and instilling technical excellence, all while being obsessed with shipping faster and cleaner code. This role is for someone who thrives on ownership, mentoring, and ensuring the reliability of complex data pipelines.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Technical Leadership & Data Delivery
  • Architecture & Data Design: Own the technical architecture of the CarsXE data platform, making critical decisions on infrastructure, database design, and optimizing the flow of high-volume automotive data (e.g., VIN lookups, historical vehicle data).
  • Hands-On Development: Spend 60-70% of your time writing high-quality code for the most challenging and impactful product features, such as new API endpoints or complex data validation systems.
  • Process Implementation: Implement robust development practices, including standardized CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, to guarantee the integrity and freshness of the vehicle data we deliver to our customers.
  • Code Review: Rigorously review code from all team members, providing clear, constructive feedback to maintain a high bar for quality, performance, and security.
• Mentorship & Team Elevation
  • Unblock & Guide: Act as the primary technical resource for our remote engineering team, providing mentorship, direction, and timely unblocking to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Velocity & Roadmap: Work closely with the CEO to translate key business requirements (e.g., integrating a new data source) into technical tasks, ensuring accurate scoping and rapid, reliable delivery.
